Ideas for web projects...

It's difficult to come up with a flushed out idea on the fly but there are definatly some possibilites that could be persued. One idea I had was a website where people could record the places where they were pulled over by cops on the highway. It would provide a map and would allow people to see how heavily an area is patroled by traffic cops. Another possibility is making a site for my friend's band. Just something simple and basic that gave good information and sound clips.

What I would like to use this for

I would like a basic understanding of Web Design. I think as time goes on web design skills are going to become a more and more important skill to have. I can easily see a future where basic web programming is nessecary for almost every available job on the market. I think every person would do well to familierize themselves with these skills.

What my computer knowledge is...

I've been a computer user for most of my life. The first computer I had experiance with was a DOS machine when I was 5. Since around 1990 however I've been almost exclusivly using Apple computers. I've done a little bit of web programming, but nothing too advanced. Everything I did was basic layout stuff using only HTML coding. This was also several years ago.
